Joshua Kutryk is a Canadian astronaut and Royal Canadian Air Force colonel born on March 21, 1982, in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. He grew up on a cattle farm and built a career as a highly experienced fighter and test pilot, flying CF-18 aircraft and serving in NATO, UN, and NORAD operations, including deployments to Libya and Afghanistan. He holds multiple degrees in mechanical engineering, space studies, flight test engineering, and defence studies, and has over 4,000 flight hours on more than 40 aircraft types. Selected by the Canadian Space Agency in 2017, he completed astronaut training in 2020 and has since worked with NASA in Houston, including roles in the Commercial Crew Program and as a capsule communicator (CAPCOM) for the ISS and Starliner missions. In 2023, he was assigned to a long-duration International Space Station mission, where he is expected to become the first CSA astronaut to fly as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. SpaceX Crew-13

SpaceX flew NASA astronauts and a Russian cosmonaut to the International Space Station aboard Dragon.

Crew Dragon is the first privately built and operated orbital spacecraft capable of flying humans. As a reusable SpaceX capsule, it transports crew members to and from the International Space Station. It will also carry paying customers to the Station and low Earth orbit. While it typically accommodates a crew of four, this number can vary depending on the mission.
