Born at Baikonur, Kud-Sverchkov made his first trip to space on Soyuz MS-17, making him the first person to launch to space from his home town. He is scheduled to perform two spacewalks on the Russian side of the Station during the Experidition 64 mission on the ISS. One spacewalk will prepare the Pirs Docking Compartment for removal from the Station to make room for Russia's new Nauka science laboratory next year.
