Overview
Soyuz T-5 was the first crew mission to the new Salyut 7 space station; the crew would land on Soyuz T-7 after seven months in space. The mission was named "Elbrus." During the flight, the Elbrus crew activated Salyut 7 and brought the station to operational status while conducting experiments.
