Jesús is a Spanish TV host, mountaineer, pilot, and lifelong adventurer. He currently hosts Calleja Planet, Flying By, and Calleja Universe, which air on Mediaset channels in Spain. Jesús’s adventures have taken him to every corner of the world, including the Seven Summits, the North and South Poles, and numerous deserts, active volcanoes, and ancient sinkholes. A passionate race car driver, Jesús has participated in numerous international racing competitions, including four editions of the Dakar Rally and a 3,400-mile journey from the French Pyrenees to Dakar, Senegal. Jesús González Calleja (born April 11, 1965, in Fresno de la Vega, León) is a Spanish mountaineer, adventurer, astronaut, and television presenter. He has climbed Mount Everest (8,848 m) and completed the Seven Summits (the highest mountains on each continent, including North America and Antarctica). He is also a pilot of both airplanes and the Robinson R44 helicopter. He hosts documentary programs such as Volando Voy and Planeta Calleja on the Cuatro network and co-owns the production company Zanskar with María Ruiz Calzado. In 2025, he will embark on a spaceflight with Blue Origin aboard the New Shepard spacecraft, making him the third Spanish astronaut in history to travel to space, following Miguel López-Alegría and Pedro Duque.
