Born in March 1990, Wang is currently China's only female flight engineer and will become the third Chinese woman to embark on a crewed spaceflight mission. Before being selected as a member of China's third batch of astronauts, Wang used to work at the Academy of Aerospace Propulsion Technology under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation as a senior engineer.
