Yozo, is a Japanese film producer who is scheduled to fly on Soyuz MS-20 alongside Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, who will pay for both seats; his function will be as a production assistant of Maezawa and to document the flight.

Yozo will be the second film producer to fly to space after Russian Klim Shipenko who flew to the International Space Station on Soyuz MS-19 in October of 2021.

Soyuz MS-20

The mission will carry Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Misurkin as well as two tourists, a Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa and his assistant Yozo Hirano, to the International Space Station for ~12 days.

Soyuz is a human-carrying capsule built and operated by Russia, capable of transporting up to three people to the Space Station at a time. It has been upgraded numerous times since its first use in the 1960s for the Soviet lunar program and was the only crewed vehicle for the Station from 2011 to 2020.
